There is hardly any action without preparatory analyses and studies: These form an important basis for the design as well as for the evaluation of measures and projects to promote the economic development of regions. The objective is to assess the competitiveness of economic sectors and regions as well as of results and impacts of development projects and funding programmes.
Regional analyses and sector studies
Which economic sectors located in my region are sustainable? Are there real clusters or cluster potentials in my region? How can entrepreneurship be developed and promoted? These and similar questions are key questions of regional and sector-related analyses.
- SWOT analyses: identification of strengths, weaknesses, chances and risks of regions and business locations
- Benchmark analyses: comparison of the own with other economic regions
- Analysis of the attractiveness and dynamics of economic sectors
- Cluster analyses: identification of clusters and their development potentials
Evaluation studies
„To evaluate“ means „to estimate, to judge, to asses“ and is relevant, for example, for the following questions: Which effects can be expected from a cluster initiative? What are the results of a monetary funding programme and how should it be designed in the future? Is it worth to set up a business centre and incubator?
- Monitoring and documentation of structures, processes and results of projects and programmes
- Case studies, expert interviews and questionnaires
- Impact analyses: identification of specific effects and impacts of projects and programmes
- Feasibility studies: assessment of the feasibility of selected regional development projects
As a matter of course, I attach great importance to an appealing and understandable processing and illustration of the analyses and studies.
